December – Barrow – 2022

New WWR paddlers

The Sharks were back racing at the Barrow-upon-Soar race in December and added another three paddlers to our team. Another fun day out, looking forward to January’s race.

In the Ladies K1 we had Jasmin Uhlhorn returning for her second race, she was 10th, her time was 22 minutes and 8 seconds, a minute faster than her first outing. She now moves up to 46th in the National Rankings.

Making her first appearance in Wild Water Racing Tasmeen Khatra, who finished the 3k course in a time of 22:57, she came 11th and is now ranked 93rd in the National Rankings.

Finishing the trio of our ladies at Barrow was Fleur Harman, she came 13th in a time of 25:47. She is ranked 106th in National Rankings.

We also had three members racing in the Men’s K1, including new paddler David Spikings, who came 14th in a time of 20:23 and joins the National Rankings in 164th place.

Moving up the results list was Grant Underwood, who completed his first race in England for some time, he came 12th in a time of 18:21, ranked 146th.

Finishing in 9th place (second V60) was Neal Underwood, in a time of 17:04, taking a minute of his November time, Neal is ranked 62nd (third V60) in the National Rankings.
