What a month to be on the water! As the blazing heat continued, the best place to be was on the water (or in it) and The Sharks were there to provide the opportunities.

Langham Farm Autumn 2026

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September The fantastic Langham Farm Autumn Slalom takes place on the weekend of the 19th and 20the September. It is a ranking Division 3 and Division 4 event and its is a brilliant weekend hosted by Frome Canoe Club. You can enter by clicking here.

Tonbridge Marathon Results 2026

More Medals for Shark Paddlers Four debuts in Marathon racing and two medals and stunning performances all round in a great day of racing at Tonbridge. Our thanks go to Tonbridge Canoe Club for hosting the event.

Southall 200m Summer 2026

Our annual End of Term Schools Race Delays due to extreme heat, this year’s series has been a bit disrupted, but we still had over 70 youngsters take part, from three local different Schools.

Nene 2/3 Slalom – September 2026

This event has been cancelled Due to issues with the pumps, this event has had to be cancelled.

Cardington Slalom – Sept 2026

Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th Divisions 2, 3 and 4, so suitable for all Shark paddlers. You can enter either or both days, you can travel daily or camp on site. An opportunity for competition, and fun, bring the whole family. You can enter on line here.

Tonbridge Hasler Marathon 2026

Sunday 23rd August Details of the Tonbridge Marathon are here. It is on a lovely stretch of the Medway in Tonbridge, it is within easy reach of Thamesmead and a daily easy journey from our West London bases. It is great race for paddlers just starting out.

August Thamesmead WWR 2026 – Report

An Amazing Day of Fun alongside the Festival The Sharks joined in the Festival Sprit at Thamesmead by running an entry level Wild Water Race and extra sessions along side the Thamesmead Festival on Saturday with over 60 people getting on the water and having fun.

Another Golden Month With temperatures soaring and Britain facing drought conditions, causing concerns for water flows in rivers and canals, affecting water supplies, wildlife and of course places we can canoe. So far we have not been affected.

The Great Harlesden Charity Canoe Race 2026
