Cardington Slalom June 2026

Results and Medals for Sharks

Two days of slalom competition hosted by Viking Kayak Club, with different Sharks attending each day. On the Saturday there was also the very first Cardington Wavehopper Race, hosted by The Sharks.

Saturday

Men’s division 2 Kayak

Ivijah Cambell-Bryan was our top paddler, the J16 came 13th and collected 184 points to add to his season total, he now has 326 from 3 events and is ranked 55th in National Division 2 Men’s K1.

V65 Neal Underwood took 19th place, with a clear run, earning his first 26 points of the season, he is currently ranked 73rd National Division 2 Men’s K1.

Team Event

Neal Underwood, joined up with John Stoner from Break Out and Antony Cowderoy from Shepperton, their combined age was 207 years!, the came eighth over all!

Sunday

Veterans K1

Two medal winners in this category, the winner was Rick Moore, with a clear run, he earns 470 points for hosting victory and is now ranked 13th in Men’s Veteran K1, with at season total of 2,227 from 4 events.

In Third place was Jannik Petersmann, with two clear runs, he collects 437 points and is now ranked 37th with 696 points from 4 events.

Division 2 K1 Men

Our top ranked paddler Khaleel Ziauddin was in action for the first time this year and he took eleventh place earning 250 points, he is now ranked 58th in National Division 2 Men’s K1.

Division 3 K1 Men

Sam Press was in action and claimed 13th place, he adds 63 points to his season’s total and is now ranked 40th in Men’s K1 Division 3 with a total of 272 points from 3 events.
