Living up to its name

A very hot month, with record temperatures and some red hot paddling from The Sharks.

Competitions

A quiet start to the month and then like the preverbal bus, they three turn up at once. A triple weekend, with Shark Paddlers attending three different competitions in one weekend, three different disciplines at two different locations.

Cardington Slalom, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st, with different paddlers each day.

Cardington Wavehopper Race Saturday 20th, hosted by The Sharks.

Oxford Falcon Marathon – Sunday 21st.

Then the following Sunday Wey Marathon

Other Activities

A week of disruption caused by the heat, restricting sessions run at and for schools, but we also did something completely different!

Our new Sit-on-Top sessions were launched at Thamesmead.

As well as our new Race Training Sessions at Thamesmead.
