Another great Langham Farm event

Only five Shark Paddlers at this event, which is a great shame as it is a fantastic event, and the Spring Event, was enjoyed by over 20 Sharks! Hopefully we can have a repeat in May 2027.

Division 3

Ivijah Campbell-Bryan – Men’s C1

Switching to Canoe singles for the first time, Ivijah came 5th and was first J16, he claims 150 points for this first outing which ranks him in 23rd place.

Sam Press – K1 Men

Sam came 8th overall, with a clear round on his second run, comparatively new to Slalom, he collected 147 points to add to his season total and now sit is 42nd place with 419 points from four events.

Richard Davis – Men’s K1

Richard is the World’s oldest competitive paddler at 87-years-old and shows no sign of giving up yet, he came 15th which earns him 44 points, he is currently ranked 78th with this being his first event of the season.

Susan Templeton – Women’s K1

Another one of our more experienced paddlers, Susan was 11th overall and picked up 23 points with a clear first run. She is now ranked 8th with 554 points from five events.

Veteran’s

Andrew Lyall – Men’s k1

Welcome to The Sharks team Andrew and winning your first event as a Shark with a clean second run. Andrew is ranked is ranked 41st in the Veteran’s league with a total of 934 points for the season.

Officials’ Event

Ivijah Campbell-Bryan – Men’s K1

Ivijah also helped with the judging on the day and took part in the Officials’ event, coming 5th.

A big thank you to Frome Canoe Club, who were celebrating their 50th anniversary . They really do put on a first class event, they have a fantastic location, a great catering operation (Vegan Options), and are a really friendly club. The format of their events enables plenty of water time, so that developing paddlers can learn and improve as well as race. So hopefully we can have a big contingent there in May 2027!
