Are you up to take on reigning Champions Murphy’s? We are looking for organisations, companies, who want to help us raise money for Charity, by having fun. It really is a great day, check out last year’s report.

We need teams of four people, and we want to raise at least £100 per team, we are very keen on companies joining us and last year we had:

• Murphy’s – three teams
• McVities – two teams
• Garden Studios
• Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation

We want more this year, we have set a target to raise over £1,600, the money we raise will be split between two local charities, the Brent Food Bank and Queens Park Rangers Community Trust. Paddlers from a range of local and visiting organisations come together on the water at the Great Harlesden Charity Canoe Race. Featuring both new and returning paddlers, the event celebrates community, competition, and fundraising, with teams racing for the prestigious Great Harlesden Charity Canoe Race Shield.

Meet at the container in Barretts Green Road, Car Park, Disraeli Road, Harlesden NW10 7AE.

Time

The event starts at 11am, please let us know if you are entering a team and how many teams, so we can start as soon as we can. contact us by email: canoeing@thesharks.org.uk or call/text 07951 770241.

Format

Each team consists of 4 paddlers, there will be heats and a finals, maybe semi-finals if we have enough teams.

Qualification for the next round will be the winner of each heat, plus next fastest teams from across the heats.

This is a fun event, you may get wet, having supporters on the tow path adds to the atmosphere, so please get as many people as possible to come and enjoy the fun, all for a good cause.
