New Stars in the Making The Sharks made their first appearance at Winchester for a few years, one of our favourite sites for beginners it has been a successful venue for our paddlers and 2019 was no exception.
Well Done Ally Ally Judge was racing for The Sharks at the weekend in the Daleks region WWR and Wavehopper Race at Nottingham and gained first place in the ladies’ Wavehopper Race and 5th over all. Well done Ally.
Nene Results A brilliant days racing by Shark paddlers a big well done to everyone and a big thank-you to Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club for putting on a great event. Four paddlers three first and a fourth!
Results On a day of strong winds and tough conditions, just the one Shark paddler took part in the last Barrow-Upon-Soar race of the season. Neal Underwood came 11th over all and first Master 55 plus in the Regional Wild Water 3k race.

Well Done Sharks! The Sharks hosted the first of their two slaloms this year at Shepperton at the weekend and although numbers were not as high as we hoped; there were some fantastic results for Shark paddlers.
Congratulations to Grant Underwood on becoming the first Shark to represent their country at senior level. Grant represented GB at the European Wild Water Racing championships in Skopje, in both classic and sprint events.
Congratulations Grant The selection event for the GB Wild Water Racing team to go to the senior European Championships and for the under 23 Worlds team and senior World Cup event took place at Grandtully in Scotland at the weekend and Loughborough University and Shark paddler Grant Underwood was there.
The Sharks had a great day in sun soaked Southampton on Saturday 8th April at the Woodmill Regional Sprint format Wild Water Race. The race consisted of two runs down an 800 metre course, with the time of the best run counting as your result.
Congratulations to Ally Judge on taking second place in the Ladies K1 race at the Matlock Wild Water Race. The race was a sprint format in what is one of the nicest race sites in England.
Latest rankings provided by the Wild Water Racing Executive, indicate that The Sharks, despite only doing two Wavehopper Races are ranked third best in Great Britain.
The Wild Water Racing season runs from September to August and therefore last season has finished and we are into the new one and it is time to report how we have done.
Hillingdon Gazette – 19th November 2016 - SWISS international wild water racing paddler Alistair Smortit made his debut for The Sharks, who train in Harefield, in the 3k men's kayak singles at Barrow-on-Soar on Saturday.

A small team of Shark paddlers travelled to Grandtully in the middle of Scotland to take part in the Scottish Open Wild Water racing championships and to take advantage of the chance to train with British Team coaches.

Thursdays from 23rd June at 3:45pm We are introducing an after-school club at Southall on Thursdays at 3:45pm, meeting at Three Bridges School (foot bridge entrance, by the canal).
