All Club Facilities Closed until further notice. The announcement by the Government of a further national lockdown has meant that we are legally required to close all or our facilities.

Return to Wild Water Racing
Wild Water Racing The Sharks are planning to restart Wild Water Racing Session at Harefield in January on Monday evenings at 6pm, meeting at Tory Lake.
Training Camp Report We held a training camp for our slalom paddlers in Llandysul, Wales, the site is used for events at al divisions in the UK calendar, so an excellent venue, for fun, practice and a weekend away.

2019/20 Wild Water Racing Season to End
Current standings to be final Rankings Due to Covid-19, the Wild Water Racing Committee has decided to end the current season (2019/20) with immediate effect.

Great Days Racing for Ally Judge Ally Judge was racing in her first race as a veteran and was the first Vet in the race and also there first Wavehopper overall.
Southampton Wild Water Race
Fun in what was some February sun Southampton Canoe Club organised a non-ranking fun Wild Water race at the weekend to test the water so to speak in order that they will run ranking races in the future.
Another Shark Champion Sam Liddy is the latest Shark Paddler to win a national championship, he is under-sixteen Wild Water racing Champion of 2019, he also won the under-sixteen Wavehopper Championship
Winchester Results 2019
New Stars in the Making The Sharks made their first appearance at Winchester for a few years, one of our favourite sites for beginners it has been a successful venue for our paddlers and 2019 was no exception.
Daleks WWR Report
Well Done Ally Ally Judge was racing for The Sharks at the weekend in the Daleks region WWR and Wavehopper Race at Nottingham and gained first place in the ladies’ Wavehopper Race and 5th over all. Well done Ally.
First Class Sharks
Nene Results A brilliant days racing by Shark paddlers a big well done to everyone and a big thank-you to Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club for putting on a great event. Four paddlers three first and a fourth!
Barrow – March 19
Results On a day of strong winds and tough conditions, just the one Shark paddler took part in the last Barrow-Upon-Soar race of the season. Neal Underwood came 11th over all and first Master 55 plus in the Regional Wild Water 3k race.

Sharks Shine in first race of the Year Another fantastic day at Fairthorne Manor Wild Water Race, combining both Regional event and Wavehopper event. Thanks to Susan Templeton for organising the event, which is run by The Sharks and Itchen Vally Canoe Club as a joint venture.

Good Show Just two paddlers made the trip to Bucklers Hard, but their results were amazing.

More Shark River Race Action The Sharks were represented at the Barrow-on-Soar Race in Leicestershire, by two paddlers from Loughborough Sharks.

Sharks at Shepperton – Report
Well Done Sharks! The Sharks hosted the first of their two slaloms this year at Shepperton at the weekend and although numbers were not as high as we hoped; there were some fantastic results for Shark paddlers.
European Wild Water Championships 2017
Congratulations to Grant Underwood on becoming the first Shark to represent their country at senior level. Grant represented GB at the European Wild Water Racing championships in Skopje, in both classic and sprint events.
GB WWR selection report
Congratulations Grant The selection event for the GB Wild Water Racing team to go to the senior European Championships and for the under 23 Worlds team and senior World Cup event took place at Grandtully in Scotland at the weekend and Loughborough University and Shark paddler Grant Underwood was there.
Woodmill WWR results
The Sharks had a great day in sun soaked Southampton on Saturday 8th April at the Woodmill Regional Sprint format Wild Water Race. The race consisted of two runs down an 800 metre course, with the time of the best run counting as your result.
Ally Judge at Matlock
Congratulations to Ally Judge on taking second place in the Ladies K1 race at the Matlock Wild Water Race. The race was a sprint format in what is one of the nicest race sites in England.
Sharks Ranked Third in Wavehopper Series
Latest rankings provided by the Wild Water Racing Executive, indicate that The Sharks, despite only doing two Wavehopper Races are ranked third best in Great Britain.
WWR – Annual Report 2016
The Wild Water Racing season runs from September to August and therefore last season has finished and we are into the new one and it is time to report how we have done.
Swiss star Smortit hoping to stay on a roll with Sharks
Hillingdon Gazette – 19th November 2016 - SWISS international wild water racing paddler Alistair Smortit made his debut for The Sharks, who train in Harefield, in the 3k men's kayak singles at Barrow-on-Soar on Saturday.
