Final Slalom Rankings 2024

7 new paddlers added to The Shark Team

Due to weather issues, many events did not run or were curtailed, this has obviously affected the national rankings in Slalom, but we still managed to get 7 new paddlers racing Slalom in 2024, bringing our total to 19 paddlers racing this year.

Division 2 Men’s K1

Our highest ranked paddler in 2024, was …

Khaleel Ziauddin

For the third year running Khaleel has topped The Shark Rankings, coming 51st in National Division 2 Men’s K1. He gained 517 points from just three events. Ranked 166th Under 23 in his final year as an under-23.

Grant Underwood

Returning to slalom after several years out of the discipline Grant ended the season in 58th place with 392 points from 4 races.

Neal Underwood

65th place for our Master 60 paddler, collecting 258 points from 5 events, ranked second Master Over 60 in the UK.

Division 3 K1 Ladies

Our highest ranked female paddler was …

Liah Boyle

Liah only raced 3 times and collected 417 points putting her in 19th place, she is also ranked as 95th J16 in the UK.

Jasmin Uhlhorn

Our top paddler in 2023 only managed two events this year and came 26th with 290 points.

Susan Templeton

Susan took 44th place 53 points from just two events. She is ranked as second Master over 65.

Ally Judge

Was ranked 46th place with 50 points from just one event.Second ranked Lady in M40 age group.

Men’s Division 3 K1

Richard Davis – A legend

Our oldest paddler and indeed the oldest ranking paddler in the UK (probably the World) at 87-years-old. he is ranked 46th in Division 3 with a season total of 354 points. He is ranked as the best over 85 in the UK!

Ivijah Campbell-Bryan

Our newest ranking slalom paddler in 2024, Ivijah did 3 Division three events and collected 178 points, ranked 62nd. Ranked as the 82nd best J14 Slalom paddler in the UK.

Alistair Gifford Moore

Alistair only managed one event this season where he earned 18 points putting him in 89th place.

Veterans’ K1 Men

Rick Moore

Our slalom coach Rick Moore came 12th with 2,588 points

Danny Dalrymple

Danny came 36th after collecting 712 points

Veterans’ C1 Men

Richard Moore

Took 11th place in the Canoe Singles event with 848 points from 4 events.

Canoe Doubles

Richard Moore/Richard Comer

Came 22nd overall with 71 points from just 2 events

Jasmin Uhlhorn/Neal Underwood

Only managed one event this year and collected 19 points leaving them in 24th place overall and 4th Mixed Pair.

Division 4 Ladies K1

Division 4 is the entry level event for Slalom and we introduced 7 new paddlers to the sport this year at Cardington, our larges number of Shark paddlers every to enter at any one event …

Anny Schwietzke

Entered her first ever slalom event at Cardington in August.
