Work for The Sharks

We are recruiting teachers and coaches for 2024.

Operating at many sites in West London, and in many disciplines The Sharks offer amazing opportunities for qualified instructors to get involved in every aspect of paddlesport. And we pay very well

About us:

Our Current pay rate for qualified instructors is £18 per hour. We currently operate at:

Southall

We can offer a variety of hours at each location, with School Curriculum time sessions at Southall. We run afternoon school sessions from Easter to October half-term, with Holiday Clubs during School Holidays. The Site is based at Three Bridges Primary School. We have access via Havelock Road, UB2 4GG.

We also run after School Clubs and open Club sessions at this location,

As well as introducing youngsters to paddling, through the School, we work with the local community to get more people (of all ages) active, we are also keen to develop a racing section at this location.

Harlesden

This site based at NW10 7AE and is due to be relaunched at Easter 2024, following some improvements to the Canalside during 2023. We currently run afterschool clubs with Harlesden Primary School twice a week (Easter – October Half-Term) and Holiday Clubs during School Holidays. As with Southall we also work with the wider community and have started to develop a racing section at this location.

At this site we work with GLI Urban Life, Old Oak Development Corporation and Young Brent Foundation which has enabled us to reach a wider audience and have helped us develop this site. We are currently planning a massive expansion of activities at this location.

Greenford Quay

The newest of our current sites, (UB6 0FT) we have been using a floating class room as our base in this newly developed area, we work closely with Horsenden Primary School and attract many pupils from there and other local schools to our sessions run in after School and during the holidays.

We are also working to establish a racing section at this site, we work closely with Greystar the developers who own the site.

Osterley Park

During the Summer months we run a number of sessions at this location at weekends for recreational purposes, we also do some work with schools here including a special needs school. At this location we are using sit-on-top boats.

During 2024, we are working with developers at two other sites, one in Hayes and another in Southall; and may need instructors at these as well.

We also have or Slalom site at Harefield, which we occasionally need cover and are keen to develop more sessions at.

If you work for us it will be on a self-employed basis (although this may change), you will only commit to the hours you want to work. We are looking for qualified paddlesport instructors and you will need DBS checks.
