Athlete and Slalom Coach at Harefield

Rick leads our Slalom Team based at Harefield, he is a very experienced paddler and still competes, racing Veteran K1 Men’s Slalom and was the runner up in the 2021 this year he came 7th with 2,869 points. and he came 11th in C1, with 1,61 points.

Rick made his debut for The Sharks in Wild Water Racing at Melksham in February, coming 4th, he also raced C2 with Jasmin Uhlhorn and they won the event comfortably, leaving them top of the national rankings. He also raced with Liah Boyle, coming 6th.

During the Winter Rick has been having some fun at Hambleden

Rick also paddles C2 with his wife Mel Moore, for Mixed C2 in Slalom, proving that canoeing really is the ideal family sport, and this year raced with Richard Cromer to Race Men’s Canoe Doubles, they were ranked 15th in the Country with 700 points from 3 events
