The 6th and serries finale race Join us for the Legendary Barrow Race on Saturday 1st March. The Sharks have attended every race in the serries and now it is time to enjoy the serries finale, so please do come and join us.
Three new champions! Nine paddlers took to the challenge of the 5th race in the Barrow Wild Water Racing series, which was also the East Midlands Championship. The weather was on the cool side, but the competition was hot and The Sharks excelled!
Come and join the fun So far this serries we have had 15 different Shark paddlers racing at the Barrow, how many of you will join us on Saturday February 8th and let’s see if we can get the largest Shark contingent ever at a race?
Not for the light hearted And that was just the drive! Yest another weather affected race, this time it was storm Darragh causing havoc, but we still had four people racing on a revised course.
Another 5 paddlers making their debut in Wild Water Racing, as our biggest WWR team yet take to the waters of the River Soar at Barrow-on-Soar, near Loughborough.
Wild Water Racing on the Soar Just two paddlers this time out, which is a shame as the River was at a very good level for racing, but the time of year does make things difficult, hopefully we will have a few more on January 20th.
Wild Water Racing is back After a Summer hiatus, we were back racing at the Barrow on Saturday, picking up exactly where we left off. High water levels meaning a different course and the paddlers racing were Liah Boyle and Neal Underwood.
Final Barrow Race of the Series Liah Boyle and Neal Underwood, were there on a very strange day, the sun was out, there was snow in the fields and the river was in flood!
Results On a day of strong winds and tough conditions, just the one Shark paddler took part in the last Barrow-Upon-Soar race of the season. Neal Underwood came 11th over all and first Master 55 plus in the Regional Wild Water 3k race.
