Action Packed fun this Summer The Sharks are arranging sessions throughout the Summer holidays so you can get on the water regularly and enjoy some fun in the sun. With scorching temperatures, there is nowhere better to be than near water.

Statement from The Sharks

Price rises at Thamesmead Unfortunately we are going to have to increase our prices at Thamesmead, to £7 per session from August 1st 2026, this will bring the prices into line with other sites.

Charity Race in Thamesmead – July 2026

Move for Meals Congratulations to those who turned up for the Charity Race organised by the Abbey Wood staff at Sainsbury’s and Argos, to raise money for Move For Meals, which is part of Comic Relief. The event was hosted by The Sharks, whose staff donated their time to the cause. Donate here.

Thamesmead Race and Festival 2026

Saturday August 8th a day of activity A full day of fun on the water with The Sharks alongside the Thamesmead Festival. Starting with a ranking River Race on the Lake, suitable for all standards and any boats can be used. Followed by an afternoon of canoeing and kayaking activities organised by The Sharks.

Llandysul River Festival 8th & 9th August 2026

Ranking Division 2, 3 & 4 Slalom, and much more … We can make this a fantastic Club Trip, there is something for everybody, a weekend of fun, fun, fun and including a ranking slalom, which is suitable for all of our members. Check out what is happening.

Move For Meals

Hosting events for Charity The Sharks are supporting local people to raise money for charities, this Sunday 12th July 2026, we will be hosting a kayaking event on Southmere Lake Thamesmead to help local companies raise money for Move For Meals.

Golden Sharks

Shepperton Slalom July 2026 Ten Shark paddlers enjoyed two days of competition and winning 6 gold medals. Great performances, with so much more to come, and you could be part of it, why join us and let the fun begin?
