Harefield Winter Sessions

Sundays at 10:30am

Harefield Sessions will take place on Sunday mornings at 10:30am, the sessions are open to anyone and new members are always welcome. Each session cost £6 per person.

If you are new to the Club, please either call on 07951 770241, or email slalom@thesharks.org.uk, we will then invite you to our WhatsApp group to make communications easier. We do need who is attending each session, so we can plan them properly.

We meet at Troy Lake, West Hyde, which is the home of Rickmansworth Sailing Club, which is accessed from the A412 Denham Road/North Orbital Road,  signposted for Rickmansworth Sailing Club. Turn Left at the small MOT garage and, once passed the Marble and Granite Centre, drive along the track for 500m to the Sailing Club. WD3 9YB for SatNav directions.

There are changing rooms and showers etc., we store boats on site and there is a car park. All of which is adjacent to the canal.

Our Sunday morning sessions are slalom sessions and take place on the moving water, where we have permanent slalom training gates, opposite the Coy Carp, which is about 500 metres along the canal from Troy Lake. We provide all the kit, there are no up front costs, for more information please either call/text on 07951 770241, or email slalom@thesharks.org.uk.

As well as the regular sessions at Harefield, we also hold a once a month, on the last Friday if the month at 7pm; Free pool session at Horsenden Primary School Pool in North Greenford, UB6 0PD, where you can do capsize drills, safety routines, and learn (practice) to roll in warm clean water, rolling is an ideal skill for slalom paddlers to master.
