How to Improve your performance Our Slalom Coach, Rick Moore has written the following information in order to help our paddlers, get fit, stay fit and generally improve their performance.
Lockdown version 3
All Club Facilities Closed until further notice. The announcement by the Government of a further national lockdown has meant that we are legally required to close all or our facilities.
Tier 4 Announcement
Sessions Cancelled Due to the latest Government regulations regarding the introduction of Tier 4 restrictions, we have had to cancel all organised sessions until further notice.
Slalom Sundays – 1pm
Harefield Sessions are currently suspended due to Covid-19 restrcitions. With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions we are able to restart our slalom sessions at Harefield at 1pm on Sunday afternoons.
Saturday Sessions at NW10
These sessions are currently suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions. With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, we will be resuming our Saturday afternoon sessions at Harlesden/Park Royal (NW10 7AE) on Saturday 5th December.
Return to Wild Water Racing
Wild Water Racing The Sharks are planning to restart Wild Water Racing Session at Harefield in January on Thursday evenings at 6pm, meeting at Tory Lake.

Ways to pay for sessions with The Sharks During the current pandemic, we have looked at ways to avoid cash payments and now we have added PayPal as a way to pay for Shark Sessions.
On the move in Southall
We have moved, but only slightly From now on the meeting place for our sessions in Southall will be just in a slightly different place, just 200m further along the canal, but providing us with far better options so we can improve what we do.

Just How Fast Can You Go Canoe Sprinting is about making the boat go as fast as you can on flat water normally over distances of 200 metres or 500 metres.
Pushing Yourself to the Limit Long Distance Racing in canoes and kayaks takes a number of forms, but it is exhilarating, tactical, fun and rewarding. At entry level races are just a few kilometres on flat water.
