July 2020

A Big Thank You to our Amazing Staff

July has been a difficult month fo us all, we started to crawl back into activity in June, opening our first post lockdown sessions, which have grown and stabilised throughout July.

Thanks entirely to our amazing staff and coaches, who have been doing everything possible to ensure the Club progresses.

We are back at Osterley, which has had a great start, the first session of 2020 was teh last Sunday in July and it went very well, and was well attended, 60 paddlers turned up for a session, which we did not know we were going to run till 4 days before the, so no real advertising or marketing, just people wanting to go canoeing.

We have taken on an extra person each session, to ensure all kit is properly cleaned between sessions. For further information check our Osterley 2020 webpage, email us at Osterley@thesharks.org.uk, or give us a call on 07951 770241.

Our Harefield Sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays are beginning to expand and we have welcomed some new members, please keep an eye on developments here as we will soon be creating further opportunities.

Take a look at our Slalom Page and email us: slalom@thesharks.org.uk for more information, or give us a call on 07951 770241

We had to add an extra session at NW10 (Harlesden/Park Royal) to meet with demand, we are now getting more paddlers into racing boats at this destination and look forward to further developments in the coming weeks.

NW10 and our Southall site are currently our main racing sites, check out or Marathon Racing Page and our Sprint Racing Page, email us on marathon@thesharks.org.uk or call 07951 770241.

Southall is also getting busier and we now have a number of regular distance paddlers at this site and we have plans to introduce further sessions here as well.

Restrictions are still in place and it is important for everybody to be aware of the dangers of Covid-19, it is still with us and there is always the danger of a resurgence. We are doing everything we can to ensure people can get out on the water, to have fun and to keep fit. We are gradually opening up sessions to a wider audience when it is safe to do so, please be patient, feel free to contact us at anytime on 07951 770241, or to email us at canoeing@thesharks.org.uk.

We do not have may pictures from July, but here are a few. Look forward to hearing from you and more importantly seeing yo soon.
