Symonds Yat Slalom October 2026

Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th. Divisions two and three, a last chance for paddlers in those divisions to race this season. To enter click here.

Marafun Returns – Winter Series 26/27

The Cedric Avery Mini Marathons Yes, our famous Mini-Marathons return to Harefield on Sunday October 25th 2026 and then every last Sunday or the month through to March 28th 2027.

Race Training at Southmere

26 October 2026

Every Monday at 5pm Sessions starts at 5pm and cost £7.00 per person per person, as the programme develops we will introduce more oportunities. Please arrive (15 minutes before) so that you are ready to be on the water at 5pm, to maximise the value of the session.

Get Involved and Help us Grow The Sharks are committed to helping to grow Slalom Canoeing and playing our part in this great community. We are joining the Slalom Starts Programme, which aims to bring more people into the discipline.

Start Slalom With The Sharks

Tuesday at Harefield. Rick Moore, our top notch slalom coach is running Slalom Starts sessions in partnership with Paddle UK Slalom.

Family Fun at Thamesmead

Saturdays 11am – 2pm Family Fun paddling sessions on Southmere Lake at The Sharks’ Southmere Water Sports Centre,  4 Bazalgette Way, SE2 9TX. Cost is just £7 per person, doubles and Singles available. For more information email us at: thamesmead@thesharks.org.uk or Call/Text: 07481 564945.

Peak Challenge 2026 Report

A paddling weekend with a difference The Peak Challenge is a three day paddling fest on the Derwent at Cromford Mill, near Matlock, it combines a Wild Water Race, Slalom and Kayak X, alongside come and try it paddling and a host of other activities.
