Cardington September Slalom Report

Another Slalom, Another Promotion

Well done to Joel Gunnery, who has been promoted to national division 2 slalom after a fourth and a fifth place finish in the Men’s division 3 K1 event at Cardington slalom at the weekend. With points received earlier in the season, this has given Joel enough points to finish the season in division 2.

The Sharks are starting to make waves in slalom canoeing and have a growing squad of nationally ranked paddlers. We train on Monday evening at Harefield from 5:30pm. If you are interested in joining us; contact Neal on 07951 770241 or email: canoeing@thesharks.org.uk.

On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September The Sharks are organising a Division 4 (entry level) and division 3 slalom at Shepperton, TW17 9LW. This will be an ideal event for anyone who has been to any of our slalom sessions at Harefield. There are two competitions, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, you can enter either or both. If you are not sure what slalom is about, why not come along and have a look, enjoy a day out. If you are able to help the Club on either or bot days that would be great.
