Learn to Canoe with the Sharks
The Sharks are planning to make 2012 their most successful yet. The Club
has received £10,000 of new investment and already have a number of
talented youngsters who have started racing, and we are on the look out
for new people, young or old and all ages in between. We will
teach you all the skills you require and we will provide all the kit you
require. For more information email:

or ring Neal on 07951 770241.
We will be running courses during the day time in school holidays, no
experience needed. During the Winter months we hold sessions on
Saturdays and Sundays at Perivale and Harefield. We hope to start
regular Sunday pool sessions at William Byrd Pool, Harlington early in
2012. For full updated details visit our
canoeing page
We organise monthly
mini-marathons, which are designed to introduce new people to
competition canoeing, which take place at Harefield. These cost just £2
per event and equipment is available to borrow for Shark members. We
also enter national ranking marathons.
The Sharks run Wild Water races
throughout the year, many are local and at entry level, we can provide all the
equipment to enter these races. As well as both local and national events, the Sharks are
looking to add some overseas events to the 2012 calendar.
We regularly take part in canoe slalom competitions, both locally and
nationally. Our paddlers train on the permanent gates at Harefield.
