London Youth Games Cancelled

But Lets Us Build for 2021 Sadly but inevitably the London Youth Games have had to be cancelled for 2020, The Sharks have had some success in the LYG in the past picking up medals in both Slalom and Sprint.

Southall Development

The Plans, The Ideas For a long-time now The Sharks have been looking for a “home of our own” and a base in Southall has been key to where we want to be.  

Well Done Tristram

In the year’s Thameside I race Sharks’ Coach Tristram Turner was in action at the weekend in the Thameside I race from Aldermaston to Reading a distance of 12 miles and has twelve portages.

January 2020

A review January is not normally the month for people to take up water sports in the UK, but we did have some new paddlers join us at our sessions in Southall.

Champion Sam

Another Shark Champion Sam Liddy is the latest Shark Paddler to win a national championship, he is under-sixteen Wild Water racing Champion of 2019, he also won the under-sixteen Wavehopper Championship

What are your paddling Plans for this year? There are plenty of opportunities to get active, to get more involved and there is no pressure to do anything other than what you want to commit to.

Christmas and New Year Session Times

Paddling over Christmas We will be running an altered programme over the Christmas and New Year, but we will be paddling, so please turn up and have some fun on the water. NW10, Harlesden and Park Royal These sessions will not run after 15th December until the 12th January, paddlers who normally paddle here are Christmas and New Year Session Times

November 2019

A very wet month November started with Shepperton Slalom, the last competition The Sharks entered this year and for teh first time in a while the water was a bit more challenging than it has been on the Thames.

Marathon Round up

Results We have had some action over the past couple of weeks. We had our own min-marathon on Tuesday during half-term, Nicole Dosanjh, paddled 3.2k in a time of 22:54.81 and then after a five minute rest went and did the 1.5k course in 10:26.35.

Remember September

Another Great Shark Month September started with Cardington Slalom in what was weekend of mixed weather from very hot to pouring with rain. A pattern which was going to define the month.
