Half-Term Fun

Canal and Pool Sessions

During Half-term holiday, The Sharks worked with local partners to ensure people had access to affordable fun on the water, Working with both Horsenden Primary School and Let’s Leap Sports Academies, we were able to get people active.

Pool Sessions at Horsenden School

With thanks to the Rachele Locke for the pictures

Were once again a huge success and we thank Horsenden Primary School and their staff for their support. We use the pool sessions for safety work, learning how to fall out and very basic skills. The sport really is very safe everyone wears an buoyancy aid and the following picture just shows you how to relax and float.

As well as sessions at the pool we also held sessions on the can over half-term, we now hold sessions at Greenford Quay for beginners at 4:30pm on Monday and Wednesday and as you improve we have racing sessions at 5:30pm. Want to know more or get involved? Then email: greenford@thesharks.org.uk or call/text 07951 770241.

Using Race boats at Greenford Quay

Southall

At Three Bridges School we were working with Let’s Leap Sports Academy to provide holiday activities.

We are working closely with local organisations to re-establish our sessions at Southall which have unfortunately not been running smoothly since the Undercroft (Open Havelock) debacle, where we had to move out of what was becoming a very popular and successful project, so that commercial activities could take place – which don’t actually appear to be happening.

We are committed to getting our sessions back up and running as soon as possible. For more information call/text 07951 770241 or email: marathon@thesharks.org.uk.
