February Barrow Race Prolonged heavy rain, meant the river was no longer contained within its banks, but well done to Soar Valley Canoe Club, for ensuring the race went a head on a revised there and back course.

A Climatic Month January threw all sorts of weather at us, but there were some great Shark moments.

Mini Marathon January 31st 2026 Good to welcome two paddlers from another Club to our event, although the numbers attending are disappointing, this event is a fun race, which helps build experience, is an excellent challenge at whatever level you are at, helping make you competition fit.

February Cedric Avery Mini Marathon

Saturday 28th February 2026 – 11am, check in from 10am. The next Cedric Avery Mini-Marathon takes place on Saturday February 28th at Troy Lake, Harefield. Control open from 10am, racing starts at 11am.

It’s Bib Day

Apply for Your Slalom Bib From today Sunday January 18th, you can apply for your slalom bin if you are in Division 3 or above.

Mini-Marathon – Sunday 1st February – Cancelled Due to River being flooded Two distances 10k for adults and more experienced paddlers, 5k for under 14 (unless you want a challenge) and less experienced paddlers.
