March 2026 was a good month
An action packed month on the water.
Lee Valley Slalom
The 2026 Slalom season starts and it is great to see Shark Paddlers on the podium, with Daniel Lomas taking second place in the Men’s Vet K1, whilst Jannik Petersmann, made his debut for The Sharks in the same event.

The Barrow Finale
March 7th was the final race of the Barrow series, with perfect water levels and perfect weather for racing. Four paddlers, including Sam Press, entering his first race for The Sharks.

National Prize Giving for WWR
This took place after prize giving for the Barrow Race and it was great to see Shark Paddlers getting awards.

Wild Water Training at HPP
Two Shark paddlers, Ivijah Campbell-Bryan and Sam Press, going with British Team members to train in the development sessions at HPP.
The Legacy Project
Then on 14th March, The Sharks organised the first of the Legacy Project events to promote and develop Wild Water Racing, at the Lee Valley. It was a fantastic success with approximately 90 people in attendance!

The Legacy Wild Water Race
The first Ranking Wild Water Race on the Legacy course, attended by several British Team paddlers, past and present.
Shepperton Slalom
The following week was Shepperton Slalom, where again we had podium finishes; Daniel Lomas, double first with Rick Moore taking third on both days. Ivijah Campbell-Bryan was making his debut in Division 2.

The Cedric Avery Finale
The action packed month finished with the finale of the Cedric Avery Mini-Marathon series at Harefield, with prize giving in The Oaks at West Hyde.
