Core Exercises – Get it right
This video is from YouTube and talks you through the Plank. The Plank is an excellent exercise for strengthening the core and as the video says, helps your performance in the exercises.
Everybody can find a couple of minutes, easy to do, well not that easy at first, but the idea is simple and if on your first try you don’t manage long, then you have something to beat on day two. The video is 7 minutes long, please do watch to the end as it explains how to get it right, it also explains why you should and shouldn’t do things.
The Plank can be included in any set of daily exercises, or it can be done on its own, Suggestion, get it right, see how long you can last. Once you have mastered it, try holding it for a minute (or as long as you can) take 30 seconds rest and repeat, another 30 seconds rest and repeat again or you can take a look at this with some alternatives at the end.
