Pushing Yourself to the Limit Long Distance Racing in canoes and kayaks takes a number of forms, but it is exhilarating, tactical, fun and rewarding. At entry level races are just a few kilometres on flat water.
Join in the Fun and the Exhilaration of Canoe Slalom! The Sharks have a thriving Canoe Slalom section, operating from our base in at Troy Lake near Harefield.
Wild Water Racing
The Sharks are the top Wild Water Racing (WWR) club in London and also one of the top in Britain. We aim to become the top club in Britain and to do that we need more WWR paddlers.
Have fun in one of the most exciting sports there is; starting out on flat water, as your skills improve and you move up the divisions you can end up paddling down rapids while manoeuvring through a course of water gates.
In the past we have entered races and organised mini-marathons at Harefield. This year we want to get paddlers participating in ranking races in order to build a squad that can make the Sharks a major Marathon racing club.
Sprint Racing is an Olympic discipline and The Sharks have a small but active Sprint section which we want to grow in 2016. We currently train at Southall Activity Centre (SAC) with other sessions planned.
