Reboot – Southall
New Sessions and New Times As we further open up the Club following Covid-19, we now have some new sessions and new times at Southall, so that more people can become part of The Sharks.
Half Term Harefield Session.
Wednesday 1pm We are adding in an extra session at Harefield at 1pm on Wednesday 28th October for half term holiday.

Join in the Fun and the Exhilaration of Canoe Slalom! The Sharks have a thriving Canoe Slalom section, operating from our base in at Troy Lake near Harefield.
Pushing Yourself to the Limit Long Distance Racing in canoes and kayaks takes a number of forms, but it is exhilarating, tactical, fun and rewarding. At entry level races are just a few kilometres on flat water.
Just How Fast Can You Go Canoe Sprinting is about making the boat go as fast as you can on flat water normally over distances of 200 metres or 500 metres.
Autumn Saturday Times for NW10
Saturday sessions in NW10 From the beginning of October we will be moving the Harlesden/Park Royal sessions at NW10 7AE to Saturday afternoons starting at 1pm or if you are one of our race boat paddlers 2pm.
Southall Autumn Time Table
Saturdays 1pm and 2:30pm As the Clocks fall back we need to switch to weekend paddling and we will be paddling on Saturdays at 1pm for less experienced and at 2:30pm for racing boats, starting on October 31st
Slalom Sundays – 1pm
New Autumn Times fo Slalom Sessions at Harefield As the evenings are drawing in we have decided to switch our slalom sessions at Harefield to 1pm on Sunday afternoons, this will replace both the Monday and Wednesday sessions.
Reboot – Harefield
New Sessions and New Times From Sunday 4th October our Slalom sessions at Harefield will be on Sunday at 1:30pm .
Reboot – NW10
Enabling More People to Paddle more Often As restrictions are easing we are gradually opening up more sessions to more people, but still in a controlled way to minimise the risk of Covid-19.
On the move in Southall
We have moved, but only slightly From now on the meeting place for our sessions in Southall will be just in a slightly different place, just 200m further along the canal, but providing us with far better options so we can improve what we do.
Covid-19 – A Statement – Updated July 2020
Coronavirus Policy News 19th July 2020 Due to changes in Government restrictions, we are opening more of our facilities to a wider audience. This will be done in line with Government regulations and in line with advice form British Canoeing.
Opening Up at Osterley
Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday Sessions start from Sunday 26th July We have put in place protocols for protecting participants and staff, both ours and the National Trust, so we will operate in a slightly different way. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Opening Up at Harefield
Harefield Sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays In keeping with our plan to re-open post Covid-19 lockdown, we have resumed slalom and teaching sessions at Harefield on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Opening Up in NW10
Harlesden/Park Royal Sessions to start on Thursdays In keeping with our plan to re-open post Covid-19 lockdown, we are now running sessions at NW1o at 4pm and 5pm on Thursdays.
Opening up in Southall
Havelock Sessions Are Back In keeping with our plan to re-open post Covid-19 lockdown, we have resumed sessions at Havelock Road in Southall on Tuesdays at 5pm.
London Youth Virtual Games
8th June – 4th July As this years London Youth Games have had to be cancelled, the organisers are organising a Virtual Games, for more information visit their website, details of how to get involved are here London Youth Games Launch Virtual Games
What Next? The first tentative steps have been taken by the Government to re-open England for business and recreation, but there is along way to go. The Current status of canoe-sport is on our Covid-19 page.
Good Luck at Shepperton and Stone
Our Slalom Season Starts And we have paddlers racing at two events next weekend on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March and we have coaches at both events supporting our paddlers.
