Well Done James

As some of our younger paddlers were competing at the London Youth Games and Winchester, James Read was racing at Llandysul Slalom.

He was racing both Saturday and Sunday in the Men’s Division 2 K1 and Men’s Division 3 C1.

In Saturday’s race he came 17th in the Division 2 Kayak race, collecting 180 points, on Sunday he managed two clear runs and raised his position up to 14th and earned 240 points.

In the Canoe event, James came 4th (100 points) one of only two people to manage a clear run. On Sunday another clear run helped him secure third place and 179 points.

This event keeps James as our top ranked paddler in both Canoe and kayak, he is currently 28th in Division 2 K1 with 1,136 points in Division 3 C1 he is ranked 14th with 279 points.
