Saturday August 8th a day of activity
A full day of fun on the water with The Sharks alongside the Thamesmead Festival. Starting with a ranking River Race on the Lake, suitable for all standards and any boats can be used. Followed by an afternoon of canoeing and kayaking activities organised by The Sharks.
The Race
Canoes and Kayaks available to use, cost is £7 per person, as many runs as you want and in as many craft as you want, so you can paddle K1, C1, and C2, all for one entry.
The Race starts at 11am, with check in from 10am, you can enter online here, or you can enter on the day with cash or card.
It is a fun event designed to get people having fun and taking part in an entry level race, so you can gain experience of what range is all about. It is suitable for all standards. We have the boats, paddles and kit for you to borrow.
The Paddlefest
We will be hosting our regular Saturday sessions alongside the race and extending them till 4pm, so that festival goers can experience some paddling before the music starts. We will have Open Canoes as well as Sit-on-Top Kayaks available for the come and try it sessions. Cost is £7 per person, we have doubles and singles available, each session is for 45 minutes, you can pay cash or card.
