We can make this a fantastic Club Trip, there is something for everybody, a weekend of fun, fun, fun and including a ranking slalom, which is suitable for all of our members. Check out what is happening.
Llandysul is on the Afon Teifi in Carmarthenshire, West Wales. It is a fantastic site with very good facilities. You can go for the slalom or the whole festival.
The River festival
For full details of the River festival click here. The event is organised by Llandysul Paddlers, which is a real friendly club, doing amazing work for paddle sports. It will be a good event, we have been to Llandysul before and had a great time.
There is onsite camping, a bunk house and plenty of local B&B facilities.
The Slalom
The Slalom takes place over two days Saturday 8th August and Sunday 9th August, they are two separate events, you can enter either of both. You can enter the slalom online here. If you are new to slalom and need help entering of wet more information please talk to one of our coaches or email us: slalom@thesharks.org.uk.
This event is suitable for all our paddlers, even those who have never raced before, if you want to get some practice in and find out more about slalom, join us on Sunday mornings at Harefield.
Division 4
Division 4 is the entry level for slalom, the event at Llandysul is on a flat water lake adjacent to the campsite and the river. This makes it suitable for first timers, those with no experience. If you wish you can also try paddling down the moving water on the main course, under the guidance of our coaches, which will be onsite all weekend.
Divisions 2 and 3
These events are for our ranked paddlers (above Division 4) and takes place on 4th River Teifi, which is a fun river to paddle.
This event is far more than just canoeing, it is an ideal family break in stunning scenery, also quite close to the sea.
