A new race on the Tryweryn
Daniel Lomas was in action again at the weekend, taking gold on both days in the Veterans K1 Men’s event, with two year runs on Sunday.

A new site for slalom canoeing in North Wales on the both famous (for canoeing) and infamous Afon Tryweryn. With some challenging water, set in some amazing scenery with the incredible Llyn Celyn Dam as backdrop.
Daniels double win earns him 1,464 points to his total this season, Daniel is now second in the National Veterans Championship, just 88 points away from top spot. Unfortunately, we don’t have any pictures.
Also racing at the event was Paul Mew, who was racing Men’s Division 1 C1, his victory there means he is promoted to Premier Division, For those wondering Paul is over 50 and showing that slalom canoeing is a Sport For All!.
The event was a ranking Division 1 and Division 2 event, anybody fancy taking part in next year’s event? Would be a great weekend away.
