Our First Ranking Marathon of 2026
A small team of Shark paddlers made the trip to Falcon Boat Club on the River Thames at Oxford to take part in their annual Hasler Marathon.
Geoff Sanders Division B
Racing for the first time in a Marathon was J14 Mohammed Bouhassane and he came second in a time of 16 minutes and 14 seconds for the 3.5k course.
First Girl was J14 Anaya Dhillon, her time was 17:39, she was 4th over all.
Division 9
Racing 8k was J16 Ivijah Campbell-Bryan, his finish time was 35:51, which gave him 11th place.
Division 4 Doubles
One of our coaches Michael Walter was racing with his Falcon team mate Bob Edmonds-Seal, they came 4th in a time of 56:38 for the 16k race.
Thank you to the Falcon Boat Club for organising this event, it is an exceptionally nice stretch of the River Thames and their facilities are top-notch, you are really missing out on a great event.
