European Cup and Regional WWR

Llangollen 22nd & 23rd November

A Chance to see some of Europes best paddlers racing down the Serpents Tail and to race yourself in a Regional Event from below the Tail to Llangollen

One of Britain’s best Wild Water Canoeing sites, the River Dee in North Wales is to host the final leg of the 2025 European Wild Water Racing Cup competition, featuring our very own Grant Underwood.

There will also be a Regional Race, which will start below the Serpents Tail and run the 4k into Llangollen. As well as the Regional Race, this is part of the Re-Union Programme of events, and there are options to meet up and chinwag with racers of the past. The Re-Union Website has some fascinating stuff on it.

Details and entry form for the Regional Race are here. You can also download the information as a pdf.

If you are interested in attending this event as a Shark paddler, either to watch of to do the Regional Race, then please let us know by either email: canoeing@thesharks.org.uk or by phone/text on 07951 770241.

Llangollen is approximately 200 miles from West London and takes about three-and-a-half hours to drive there. It is a beautiful part of Wales and the Town is a great place to visit (even has a steam railway for those interested).
