Harefield Wild Water Race 2025

This Year’s Harefield Wild Water Race takes place on Saturday 15th November 2025, and you can enter here.

Ideal for people new to Wild Water Racing, or even new to canoeing and kayaking. The course is about 500 metres long and you can do as many runs as you like, you can race in canoes of kayaks. This is about having fun and gaining experience, it is also a ranking Wild Water Race. There are no rocks just the flow of the weir, to help you on your way.

There will be boats to borrow for both Shark members and anybody else who needs kit.

Paddlers are encouraged to enter across as many classes as possible — from K1s and C1s to C2s, and even Team Racing! Build your dream team of three and power down the course together, or switch between boats to sharpen different skills. Whether you’re a newcomer looking for experience or an athlete chasing speed, Harefield is a development opportunity not to miss.

Check in from 10am at Rickmansworth Sailing Club,Troy Lake, West Hyde, WD3 9YB. Which is accessed from the A412 Denham Road/North Orbital Road,  signposted for Rickmansworth Sailing Club. Turn Left along the track between the commercial properties and, once passed the Marble and Granite Centre, drive along the track for 500m to the Sailing Club.

The Race starts at 11am at Coppermill Lock, about a 5 minute paddle from the Sailing Club.
