October Shepperton Results

Congratulations to Ivijah Campbell-Bryan and Semir Ahmed on gaining promotion in canoe slalom to Divisions 2 and 1 respectively. Liah Boyle also took a third place in the women’s event and Rick Moore a third in the Veterans K1 Men.

Division 3

Two second place finishes on Saturday and Sunday ensured that 14-year-old Ivijah Campbell-Bryan secured enough points to earn him a place in National Ranking Division 2. His new bib number is 129. Congratulations Ivijah.

In the Ladies’ event Liah Boyle took third place in, she is now ranked 19th in National Division 3 with 350 points from just two events this year. Hopefully we will see a few more appearances next year and a challenge for promotion?

Division 2

A double win for Semir Ahmed returned him to Division one, Semir is one of our coaches at Thamesmead and we look forward to him inspiring many more paddlers from there to get into slalom.

Daniel Greening and Khaleel Ziauddin raced on both Saturday and Sunday, with Daniel taking 10th and 13th whilst Khaleel was 15th and 14th. Daniel is currently ranked 40th with 800 points from 4 events, whilst Khaleel is ranked 48th with 590 points from four events.

Veterans

On Sunday Our lead slalom coach Rick Moore was racing in the Veterans Men’s K1 event and took third place. Rick is now ranked 20th with 2,116 points from 4 events.
