Be Part of London’s Top Wild Water Racing Team
Yes, The Sharks are the top Wild Water Racing (WWR) club in London and are one of the top clubs in Britain. Our objective is to become the top club in Britain and to do that we need more WWR paddlers.
Wild Water Racing is the ultimate challenge; pitting your wits against the elements and other paddlers. The race format is a time trial down a designated section of river, but you have to choose your passage down the rapids, fining the fastest route. Entry level races start on streams and as your skills an confidence improves, you take on more challenging rivers and more challenging competitors.
As a club we have the facilities for people to learn Wild Water Racing, we can provide all the equipment you need. We practice white water and moving water skills at Harefield and we travel extensively throughout Britain to gain experience on rivers and to enter events. Traditionally the Club as organised many local entry level events; we have also travelled to Europe to race and the Club currently has a member of the British Under-23 Wild Water Racing Team, Grant Underwood, as a member. Grant learnt to paddle with The Sharks.
You do not need to have any experience to take up this sport, just contact Neal on 07951 770241 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will teach you to paddle, race and provide all the kit you need.
