Athlete Richard Davis has a long history of racing in the UK and beyond, now in his eighties (yes he is over 80, so no excuses anybody else), he is still competing in National Division 3 Slalom.
Athlete and Race Organiser A paddler with a lot of experience now in Division 3 slalom, races Wild Water and Marathon, and organises our Southern Serries Wild Water Races, based in Hampshire.
Athlete Aditya is one of two promotions Shark paddlers achieved at Langham Farm, coming third in the Men’s Division 4 Slalom and earning him a well deserved place in National Division 3.
Athlete Tasmeen is our latest paddler to get promoted and she did it in style by winning Langham Farm slalom by 6 seconds, so now ready to race Division 3 Ladies K1.
Athlete One of our Marathon racing team, based at Southall, Nicole started through our partnership with Featherstone Primary School. Most recently she was a finalist in the Sprint event at the London Youth Games.
Athlete Victoria became our youngest Shark competitor when she raced in canoe Doubles with her dad and Slalom Coach, Rick Moore at the Nene in April 2022.
Athlete The latest addition to our slalom team Fleur made her debut at the Nene Division 4 slalom event in April 2022, coming 4th.
Athlete Mel Moore is ranked in Division 3 Ladies’ K1 slalom and with Rick Moore in Mixed C2, proving canoeing really is a family sport.
Athlete Jasmin came 4th in her debut event at Stone in March 2022 and picked up her first medal by coming second in the Nene slalom at the end of April 2022.
Athlete Now in his second season with The Sharks David is ranked in Division 3 Men’s K1 Slalom. One of the first paddlers to race in 2022, Davis did his first Division 3 Slalom at Stone in March, coming 31st.
Athlete and Slalom Coach at Harefield Rick leads our Slalom Team based at Harefield, he is a very experienced paddler and still competes, racing Veteran K1 Men’s Slalom and is the 2021 runner up in Britain’s Veterans rankings.
Athlete Ally is current;y our top ranked female Wild Water Racing Paddler, she was ranked 17th in 2018/19. the last full season of racing, in past she has been a member of the GB Wild Water Racing Team.
Teacher, Coach, Athlete Aaron has qualifications in various sports, he teaches and coaches canoeing for us at all of our sites, but mainly concentrates on Slalom. Aaron is also a strength and fitness coach, so if you want to improve your performance in any area of sport, Aaron is the person to talk to.
Athlete Jacob is one of our top ranking paddlers in Men’s Division 2 K1, in Slalom canoeing, he also occasionally helps out with teaching and supporting young paddlers. He ended 2021 in 83rd position
Athlete Gavriel is ranked in Division 3 Slalom, having been promoted at Harefield in August 2018, but has only just done his first ever Division 3 Slalom at The Sharks @ Shepperton Slalom in May 2021. Ranked 121st in 2021
Athlete James has been our top ranked slalom paddler for a number of years. He paddles Division 2 Men’s K1 and at the end of 2021 was ranked 42nd, and Division 3 Men’s C1.
Wild Water Racing Coach, sometimes paddler Neal is our lead Wild Water Racing Coach, although he also coaches Marathon and Sprint. Like most of our coaches, Neal has a background in competitive canoeing and occasionally does still race.
Athlete Khaleel is currently our top ranked Slalom paddler racing Men’s K1 in National Division 2. He has also raced Wild Water and in 2019/19, the last full season he was ranked 91st in the UK. He has represented Harrow in the London Youth Games.

Athlete J16, Dylan West only took up canoe sport this Summer after visiting Osterley Park with his father Jim West both enjoyed it so much the joined in our regular sessions.
Athlete Kurt is one of a batch of paddlers who made his competitive debut at Harefield, with a fourth place finish on Saturday and a fifth place on Sunday.
Athlete John was promoted at his first ever slalom, Harefield October 2021, with a second place finish in the Sunday event, completing a trio of promotions for The Sharks in one weekend. Jon is now ranked in National Division 3 Men’s K1 Slalom.
Athlete Joe was one of a trio of paddlers who made their slalom debut at The Sharks @ Shepperton Slalom in May 2021, at his second attempt at Harefield he won the event and gained promotion to Men’s Division 3 Slalom Kayak, along with two other Shark paddlers. Well done Joe.
Athlete One of our 2021 recruits, Matteo has joined or Slalom team and raced his first event at Cardington in September 2021, as a Junior 14 paddler.
Athlete One of our youngest athletes, Adam made is debut for the London Borough of Harrow in the 2021 London Youth Games and was one of the youngest in the event, so an 8th place finish was quite somethin.
Athlete Eesa, made his competitive debut the London Borough of Harrow in the 2021 London Youth Games, racing in the age group above his own. He has been paddling at NW10, but like so many of our paddlers, his progress has been slowed by the Pandemic.
Athlete Making his debut at the Royal Marathon, Leon is one of The Sharks youngest team member and started off in style with a 4th place finish.

Athlete and Coach Grant is The Sharks own home grown international talent, having represent Great Britain
Coach, Teacher and Athlete Adam is our lead teacher at NW10, he also teachers schools at Southall and is usually on duty at Osterley Park during the Summer. He is also one of our leading athletes having raced both Sprint and Wild Water at National Level, with the occasional Marathon as well.
