Grant Underwood becomes the first Shark paddler to represent his country

Congratulations to Grant, the first (of many we hope) Shark paddler to represent his country; he came 17th in the Under 23 World Wild Water Racing Championships on the Nantahala River in North Carolina.

The event provided a great experience for all the paddlers as well as a lot of fun. Next year’s Bryson City posterJunior and Under 23 World Championships take place in Austria and The Sharks want to be represented by more than just one paddler (and maybe have a paddler from more than one nation). Could that be you?

The Sharks have a fine record in Wild Water Racing, we are London’s number one WWR club and now we want to become Britain’s number one club and to do that we need more paddlers to give it a try.

We have all the kit, you will start off on gentle streams and as your confidence and skill grows you will be riding the rapids.

As well as The Sharks; Grant would like to thank Shurtape, makers of Duck Tape; Underwoods Solicitors and GLL for their support.
