Another productive month for The Sharks

Competitions

The last Barrow Race of 2025, had to be on an altered course due to high water levels, we had 7 Sharks racing on the down and back course.

The Last Wild Water Race of the year was hosted by The Sharks at Thamesmead, attracting 11 new paddlers with 32 starts, not bad for December.

There were no takers for the Cedric Avery race on Saturday 27th December.

Behind the Scenes

We were very busy getting things in place to help grow The Sharks and make 2026 and even better year.

Grants and funding

We have been working to ensure we can keep the cost down, whilst continue to invest in various projects, so we can continue to improve what we do. Just some 0f the funding we have received recently is detailed here.

Infrastructure

Although not yet quite complete, the new boat house at Harefield is well on the way to being finished, thank you to all of those who have helped make this possible.
