January 2026

A Climatic Month

January threw all sorts of weather at us, but there were some great Shark moments.

January 1st

Tradition Begins …

The Sharks ran their first London Dook, as a test for things to come. Shark Paddlers have been dorking for many years, now we have our own Dook and will launch the Great London Dook in 2027.

Saturday 10th January

Back to the Barrow

The first canoe race of 2026, took part at the Barrow, despite heavy snow fall the week before the race went ahead

Unfortunately the Trent Double on 17th February was cancelled due to too much water following heavy rain.

Saturday 31st

Cedric Avery Mini Marathon

Five Paddlers took to the water in a fun event with three paddlers racing 6.5 miles, two new to this distance.
