This Autumn Half-Term
The Sharks, working with Peabody Trust are delivering FEE kayaking and canoeing sessions this half-term and they are open to everyone, families are particularly welcome.
Each session his for two hours and are completely free, you don’t need to book, but if you want to ensure your place please email: thamesmead@thesharks.org.uk, or you can call/text on 07841 564945.
You don’t need to bring any special equipment, but please do wear weather appropriate clothing, and bring a change of clothes. Please do not wear denim, whilst paddling, it gets very heavy and uncomfortable when wet and preferably no chunky training shoes.
Meet at the front of the front of the boathouse (lakeside) 15 minutes before the sessions starts please. The boathouse is situated in Bazalgette Lane, SE2 9AN. There is on street parking, showers and the café next door, Thamesmead Social, will happily serve you hot drinks and food afterwards.
We will continue the Saturday sessions during the Winter at 10am for two hours, the cost of the regular sessions will be £10, we accept cash or card.
This is part of our long-term plans to create something special in Thamesmead, please join us and help make Thamesmead a centre of excellence, fun and activity.
