Want to work with The Sharks?

Do you want to be part of our award winning club?

On 2016 Sport England recognised the work of The Sharks and recognised us as London’s best Satellite club, for our after school sessions at Osterley Park, but this is only part of our story.

The Sharks are growing and looking for more staff to help increase the number of people participating in our activities. Based at locations in West London, The Boroughs of Ealing, Hillingdon and Hounslow at present. We have ambitions to stretch your imagination and challenge you to help create the greatest club ever.

We need teachers and coaches with kayaking and canoeing skills and experience. We have a number of specialist areas and we need coaches who can do one or more, all coaches are at present employed on casual self employed basis.

Recreational sessions at Osterley take place every Sunday (beginning of April to end of October) and every Saturday (May to September) between noon and 4pm. We need coaches or teachers to staff these sessions, the current rate of pay is £60 for the session. Whilst these sessions are essentially recreation, we hope to inspire participants to take the sport further and come to other sessions.

We are also looking for coaches who have a special knowledge and interest in one or any of the following disciplines. Canoe Polo, Marathon, Slalom, Sprint and Wild Water Racing. The current rate of pay or pay is £15 per hour, we hold training sessions at  Harefield, Osterley and Southall, However this may well expand to other areas in West London.

Ideally coaches should hold at least BCU level 2 or equivalent (overseas qualifications are accepted), but we are more interested in your potential than current qualifications and will help the right people to gain necessary qualifications.

We are also looking for Admin staff to help support some of our sessions and to do other duties.
