Wild Water Rankings 2022
Final Rankings for Shark Paddlers 2022, was the year we returned to Wild Water Racing and had eight paddlers racing for us, 5 of whom were completely new to the discipline.
A Cold Month We saw freezing temperatures hitting us, but still we carried on paddling, with sessions at Harlesden, Harefield, Southall, and Greenford Quay taking place.
Another Fun Month Despite the more Winterial weather, The Sharks are still active and having fun. We operate and race all year round.
Ed Ecclestone Award
Congratulations to …. Ed Ecclestone was a quite guy, who got things done, he was involved in supporting canoe slalom at all levels, from grassroots to the GB team, he never sought the limelight or any recognition, he just wanted to make things work and support others.
2022 – Final Rankings
National Rankings in Slalom The final positions for Shark paddlers at the end of the 2022 slalom season. It has been a great year for our slalom team based at Harefield, under the guidance of Rick Moore, our lead Slalom coach.
Another great month As we move into Autumn, we were as busy as ever and it was another great month for our slalom paddlers. However, we were also running sessions for school sup until half-term and we hosted scouts and Canal and River Trust sessions.
Harefield 2022 – Report
A great event on our home waters The Harefield 2022 Division 4 event proved to be a great success, attracting large numbers and as you would expect from The Sharks, doing things slightly differently.
Another successful Month in Sharkland September 2022, saw The Sharks compete in 3 slaloms with some great results, we also got news of the approval of plans for Harlesden improvements.
A hot month – ideal for paddling! As August broke many records for heat, many people wanted to be near the water, but lack of water can be a curse to paddlers, as rivers are not flowing as they should be. But how did The Sharks do?
Harefield Slalom 2022
Sunday 9th October We will be hosting a division 4 slalom on Sunday 9th October 2022 at our Harefield home. This is an ideal opportunity for all our developing paddlers and for those of other clubs to come and attend and join in the fun. Enter here.
Hot and busy As temperatures reached new records in Britain, The Sharks were busy reaching new audiences. and getting more people active. Creating new partnerships and building on existing ones.
A great month for The Sharks Medals, promotions and new projects were the news stories in May, well done to all those involved and thanks to all those who made it possible.
What A Day
Greenford Quay paddling starts 32 people attended the first canal session of the newly formed Greenford Sharks section of the Club on Wednesday afternoon during half-term, this was following our successful Monday Pool Session at Horsenden School.

New Sessions at Horsenden and Greenford Quay The Sharks are starting new sessions at Greenford Quay in June 2022, we will also be working in partnership with Horsenden School to enable people to try kayaking in their pool first.
As April dawns we Spring back into action, opening up all of our regular sessions on their Summer timetable.
At Horsenden Primary School A new partnership is beginning between The Sharks and Horsenden Primary School in North Greenford, today we had a trial run at using kayaks in their pool, and we think it was a great success.
Back to Racing The 2022 slalom season started in March, and we had an amazingly warm spell to help people prepare.
