Coming Soon .....

The Sharks are working with local organisations to bring their 531 running events to Ealing. as soon as we have more information we will let you know.

If the events take off they will be similar to the ones previously run in Barking: Races take place on evening per month during the Summer and a weekend morning during the winter.

Each evening there are three races 1k, 3k and 5k, participants will be able to choose which race they want to do, races will start in groups with people running (or walking) with people of the their own standard; what ever standard you are at these events are for you, from beginner to regular athlete, what ever your age.

The races are to promote the sport, active life styles, help improve fitness and for fun. We want to encourage people new to the sport the opportunity to compete in a friendly series of races to help them gain experience and for some to move into competitive athletics whilst at the same time offering experienced runners the opportunity to race in a competitive mid-week event.

 Courses

1k, 3k and 5k:

Each event will offer 1k, 3k and 5k distances, to give a range of challenges to people and to build confidence, people will be able to move from one distance to another throughout the series to suit their needs and abilities. The races will be in a Park and on flat terrain.

Prizes

All competitors will receive a certificate listing their times

There will be a number of prizes depending on entries and at the discretion of the organisers; if any Club, individual or organisation wants to sponsor at particular prize please contact the organiser:

Points will be awarded to all finishers with faster runners collecting more points in each race. The Club Trophy is open to all clubs, not just running clubs and schools to enter as many runners as they can. The Schools Plus Trophy is open to all schools and parents staff etc.

All runners can enter for a Club (which does not have to be a running club, could be a football club, scouts or any other organisation, maybe even a works team). Youngsters can also enter for their school and earn points for a separate school trophy. The School's Plus trophy counts the points of not just the students, but parents, staff and governors.
