Shark Promotions at the Kingsland Division 4 Slalom

Two more Shark paddlers have been promoted in slalom to National Division 3 in a day of paddling at an entry level (Division 4) event at Kingsland basin in North London.

Amelia C1Joel Gunnery came fourth (and second Junior 14) in the Men’s Kayak singles (K1) event, with Conor Sheehan coming fifth (third J14), high enough up the rankings to ensure both paddlers will now join the growing number of Shark paddlers in the national ranking lists. Joseph Rosenfeld came eighth, Meciej Waszcyszak  thirteenth and ten-year-old Alex Brennan twentieth. All the paddlers were racing in their first slalom.

In the Ladies’s event Kiara Sheehan came third and was first J12 paddler, but just missed out on promotion to Division 3.

In the Canoe events The Sharks dominated, In the Men’s singles (C1) Joseph Rosenfled came second and second J16, with Khaleel Ziauddin third (first J14)  and Conor Shehann fourth (second J14).

AmeliaKiaraC2Fourteen-year-old Amelia Combes, The Sharks highest ranking lady paddler in division 2 partnered Kiara Sheehan to take second place and first J14 crew and first all girls crew and they we promoted to division three in C2. Joel Gunnery and Conor Sheehan came in third (second J14). Joseph Rosenfeld partnered, The Sharks sprint coach Beata Fabińska to take fifth place. Khaleel Ziauddin and Meciej Waszcyszak were sixth and Eamon Brennan and Rod Grundy (the only all senior crew) were seventh.
