Hamble Wild Water Race – Saturday 18th November

The Hamble Wild Water Race is near Southampton (SO31 7HP), about a 2 hour drive and starts at 11am on the tidal Hamble, check in is at 10am. We would need to leave Sac at 8am and would get back mid afternoon. The Hamble is part of the Southern series of Wild Water Races and is supported by The Sharks, so we should be at it and taking part.

The race is 2 miles (3k) on an estuary river, you race down with the tide as it goes out. It is not suitable for novices, but is suitable for paddlers who have raced before. The race can be done in Wild Water Racers or Wavehoppers.

Entries cost £8 for seniors and £5 for juniors. There will also be a contribution to fuel cost of transporting boats and people, which will be no more than £10 per person.
