Harefield Wild Water Race - Saturday 26th February 2011
A wet and dismal day at the end of half-term only attracted 14 starters to
the race at Harefield, the fourth in the Shark Winter serries
Wiltshire Youth entered their first Shark WWR and took away the club prize at the first attempt. Again the race is attracting a wide range of people from 11 - 72 years old and from all over the South; Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Wiltshire, brining the number of clubs up to 12.
Many thanks to the Coy Carp and their staff for providing hospitality and electricity when our systems failed, To Natalie on finish, Kaycee and Cat in control
The next race is due to take place on Saturday 26th March 2011, however we are not sure where, it was hoped that we could use Dobbs Weir in the Lee Valley Park, but we are having difficulties gaining access to this publically funded Park! Please check on the venue before the race.
If you have or know of a suitable location to host a WW Sprint event please contact canoeing@thesharks.org.uk or call Neal on 07951 770241.
