Harefield Wild Water Race - Tuesday 26th April 2011
The first ever Tuesday evening Wild Water Race, a new experiment for the Sharks, the turn out was very disappointing, only 7 paddlers, but probably not a good timing, day after Easter, first day the schools went back and an early start due to daylight restrictions. However, those that turned up had a good race, although the lack of April showers has left water levels low.
The Sharks will continue the experiment for the rest of the Summer with the intention of building up the events and the sport. Hopefully as we tour round we will pick up new paddlers and clubs will bring along people who have learnt to canoe during this year.
