Wild Water Racing with the Sharks

The Sharks have a very strong Wild Water Racing section and are currently ranked as the top club in London for WWR and second best in Britain. For more information about WWR visit: www.wildwater.org.uk.

In 2011/12, the Sharks were runners-up in the National Wavehopper Challenge.

11-year-old, Nicole Taylor was under 12s Champion in only her first ever season of racing

Grant Underwood was the under 18s champion  for the second year running.

Chelsea Ludlow was runner- up in the under 10s, whilst Neal Underwood came second in the Masters.

As a club we have the facilities for people to learn Wild Water racing, we can provide all the equipment you need. We practice white water and moving water skills at Harefield and at the new site we are developing at Little Britain, near Uxbridge.

WE travel extensively throughout Britain to gain experience on rivers and to enter events. We also take part in events in other countries to broaden our experience and to enjoy the sport and have fun trips away

Shark Wild Water Races

Harefield Sprint

on Saturday 20th April 2013

The Next Shark Wild Water Race will be a sprint event at Harefield, Post Code for Sat Nav users is: UB9 6HZ. Please park at the far end of the Coy Carp car park (away from the building) so as to cause minimum disruption to their business, they are good to canoeists and supportive of our events, so please respect them.

The race will be a sprint format with two runs and is suitable for beginners. The race is a regional race and a Wavehopper Race. Paddlers will be able to do runs in both composite and Wavehoppers at no extra charge. Both Wavehoppers and Composites will be available to borrow.

K1 run swill be a Noon, second runs at 12:30pm. At 1pm there will be C1 and C2 events. Paddlers may enter as many events as they wish at no extra charge. There will be a limited number of C1s and C2 to borrow.

Entries on the day: Juniors (under 18s) £5; Under 23s £8 and seniors £10.
