Nene 2 Wavehopper Race - Sunday 2th July 2010

The Nene Wavehopper Race 2, was held on the artificial course in Northampton, a very short course, about a minute and 10 seconds, it has some good water and is guaranteed! The cost of hiring the centre does make the race dearer than other races; a £2.00 per person levy, but you do get plenty of time to practice on the water and the finish is only about 15 metres from the start (all be it up hill).

The benefits of the course are changing facilities, showers but why was the cafe closed?

Grant again won the Junior 16 age group and also the Division B event, despite having to roll on his second run! His first run time was 68 seconds and second run time 72 seconds. James Prowse from Hemel Hempstead won the J18 and was 4th over all, Hugo Oakley was making his WWR debut for Hemel.

Angelie De La Cruz, attended to practice and was very impressive for a first time on white water.
