Harefield Marafun - Saturday 12th March 2011

The final race of the series, saw two new paddlers enter brining the series total to 44 paddlers from 12 Clubs, drawn from East and West London, Hertfordshire, Wiltshire and Somerset.

The Cedric Avery Winter Marathon Trophy was won by Hemel Hempstead Canoe Club, with Herts Young Mariners second and Nomads in third. Cedric was present to award the medals and the shield and it was great to see so many faces from the past at the presentation in the Coy Carp

The Summer series starts on Tuesday April 12th at 7:00pm, and is every second Tuesday through to September.

Many thanks to all competitors, coaches, the Coy Carp, Cedric for making the journey up from Somerset and all who helped. Thanks also to those who contributed to Comic Relief , the total raised in the end was £40.00.
